There are many Korean celebrities who ruined their careers. Some of them have lost their utmost popularity or even received negative criticism from ordinary people, but some of them have made it big even though they were not so good at acting. Here is a list of those who ruined their careers because they lacked the talent and passion for acting.

The Korean entertainment industry is growing like crazy, so it’s understandable that people aren’t familiar with the stars of 50 years ago. You can see dramas of 50 years ago stars on DoramasMp4.

Entertainment companies work hard to maintain their credibility and image in Korea among fans.  Sometimes they manage to keep their stars in check while at other times they messed up big time and turned into a laughing stock.  Here are some K-Pop idols who ruined their careers by doing what wasn’t right for them.

Over the last decade, Korean celebrity and idol groups have dominated the music industry. With a large fan base, these groups have had many chances to debut and make it big. Many of these groups unfortunately failed while others became legends and continue to hold the hearts of their fans.

From a humble beginning as a singer, actor and model, to being one of Korea’s most popular names, these celebrities have fallen from grace.

1) Song Hae-young

Song Hae-young was once considered as one of Korea’s most talented singers. However, it was later discovered that she had used drugs. Her career never recovered after this scandal.

2) Kim Min-seok

Kim Min-seok was once considered as one of Korea’s top actors. However, he was accused of sexual assault in 2014 and lost his job from her works in TV dramas “Jang Ok-jung” and “Sunny.”

3) Cha In-pyo

Cha In-pyo is known for being the first Korean actor who starred in Hollywood movies such as “The Taking Of Pelham 123” and “The Departed”. In 2010, he admitted that he had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Since then, he has appeared in several low budget films and even released an autobiography called “I’m Not Crazy.”

In the past few years, we’ve seen several K-pop stars who were once at the top of their game fall from grace, some due to personal scandals and others due to management issues. Here are some of the most famous names who have fallen from grace:

T.O.P (Big Bang):

 In May 2016, Big Bang member T.O.P was arrested for violating his probation after police found marijuana and ecstasy pills in his hotel room during a pre-trial investigation. He was sentenced to a year in prison and fined $900,000 (about $5 million USD). Since then, he has been on probation for two years and must complete 200 hours of community service each month before being released from prison on Dec. 14, 2021.

HyunA (4Minute):

 On Nov. 27th 2017, HyunA announced her retirement from all activities related to music through her Instagram account after she was accused of sexual assault by fellow 4Minute member Uee while they were both students at Korea.

Conclusion:

It’s unfortunate that some celebrities’ careers were ruined and they are no longer living as they used to. It’s also a shame that some of the ones on the list need not be there just because of their own actions and behaviors. However, it is great that some who have fallen from grace have the opportunity to rebuild their careers in the entertainment industry again.
