How to Draw Vegeta A Step-by-Step Guide

Dragon Ball Z has a lot of great and unique characters that bring different personalities and strong powers to the table. Vegeta is one of the series’ most exciting and famous characters, as he has a more complex personality that can range from heroic to villainous. Like most of the characters in the series, he has an excellent visual design that can make learning how to draw Vegeta fun. How to Draw Vegeta – let’s get Started!

Step 1

One of the series’s most distinctive features of Vegeta and other Saiyan characters is his spiky hair. This is the feature we will start with this first step of our guide on how to draw Vegeta! When you draw his hair, think of him as many big, spiky shapes connecting. With this in mind, use some curved lines with sharp points at the ends to create shapes that connect. Jointly these shapes will form an around triangular shape as it gets lighter and closer to the end. The forehead part will be projected downwards with a sharp line to create a bit of a widow’s peak hairstyle. Finally, finish by adding some line details to each of the spiky shapes that make up his hairstyle, and then move on to step 2.

Step 2

We’ll be drawing quite a bit of detail on this part of your Vegeta drawing, so make sure to take it slow and follow the reference image closely. First, we’ll start with his face. Use some spiky rectangular shapes for his angled brows to make him look severe and angry! His eyes will be small and narrow, and then his nose and mouth can be drawn with simple lines. Then you can draw his facial shape and ear, and once you’ve done that, you can feel his head to his wide strait. Drawing his capes can be tricky, so do your best to copy the reference image we provided so the proportions look good. There will be lots of subtle line detail on the gloves, top, and muscles.

Step 3

For this third part of our guide on drawing Vegeta, we will extend his body further by drawing part of his waist. Use some curved and bumpy lines for his waist outline and try to draw some rounded shapes on this outline where they appear in the picture. These will be to make you look more muscular. Finish by drawing more muscle details on his abdomen and then complete this step with some curved lines for his upper legs.

Step 4

This fourth step of your drawing of Vegeta will be based on finishing one of his legs while adding some details to the other. His pants will be slightly ripped to give him some battle damage details for a more dynamic look. Use some curvier lines for your leg outlines on the right. This will look very similar to the previous one you drew, but it will be at a slightly different angle. Once you’ve completed this other leg, your drawing of Vegeta is complete and ready to color!
