As the largest SUV in Hyundai’s range, the Palisade has received considerable attention in the North American and Korean markets since its launch. The Palisade is more powerful than the current model.
Although the Hyundai Palisade facelift continues the split headlamp design of the current model, the arrangement has been modified to take account of the wider, more squared-off lines of the large tank hood, with a curved LED light bar extending to the lower half of the split lamp cluster, thus making it more visible. The rear end is less obvious than the front end, with a single-sided dual-exit exhaust combined with a redesigned rear bumper and red trim on the top edge and reversing lights, giving the car a fresh look.
The interior remains the same, with the digital dashboard and central screen integrated throughout, but the interior system information has been upgraded, and the air conditioning vents have been extended from the centre to the front of the passenger seat, with some adjustments to the air conditioning panel.
The third row of seats in the Palisade now offers the option of heating for passengers, while the second row of seats offers side wing headrests and seat ventilation for extra comfort. Wireless charging has been upgraded from 5w to 15w for faster charging of devices and Hyundai Digital Key 2 Touch allows owners to leave their car keys at home and lock, unlock and activate the vehicle using an iPhone, Apple Watch or supported Android phone. By adding the car key to an Apple Wallet or Samsung Pass, owners can lock or unlock their car by simply holding the supported device close to the door handle. Apple Wallet or Samsung Pass also allows secure key sharing with family and friends. The new Palisade is also the first modern car to offer Wi-Fi hotspot functionality.
The One-Touch second row of seats is easy to operate and can be moved forward for easy access to the third row of seats. For added convenience, the third row offers electric folding/expanding and reclining seats. The second row of Capital Seats also features a USB-C socket for quicker charging of devices throughout the interior, providing additional convenience for all passengers. What’s more, the conversation mirror gives the driver a clear view of the passengers behind them.
The Ultrasonic Rear Occupant Alert detects the movement of children and pets and reminds the driver to check the rear seats when getting out of the vehicle. It also helps to prevent children from accidentally locking themselves in the car.
The Palisade is powered by a single 3.8 V6 direct injection engine with a maximum output of 291hp/6,000 rpm and 262 lb.-ft/5,200 rpm, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and available in front-wheel drive and HTRAC® four-wheel drive configurations. linear response.
Palisade offers the new HTRAC® all-wheel drive (AWD) system, which adds a traction mode. Traction mode adjusts the traction powertrain curve to hold low gears longer and reduce the frequency of gear changes.
