Bidding for the McLaren track-class Senna GTR tops $1 million on the first day of auction
The Senna GTR, McLaren’s advanced Senna-based car for 2020, was built in a limited edition of 75 cars and is the ultimate race car. The mobil Mclaren is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, The impressive aerodynamic package with a downforce of 1,000 kg has few rivals outside of Formula One.
With less than 400 miles on the clock, the McLaren Senna GTR received a bid of $1.1 million on the first day of the auction, with an initial price of £1.1 million untaxed, and given the many options available to the owner and the car’s high level of rarity, the final price is likely to rise considerably. Google sponsors McLaren’s Android, Chrome logo on F1 car
Ahead of the 2022 Formula 1 season kicking off in Bahrain this weekend, Google has announced a sponsorship deal with McLaren Racing, whose McLaren Forumla 1 and McLaren MX Extreme E teams will see Google-related logos on their cars’ body graphics and drivers’ jerseys.
The Android logo will appear on the bodywork of the F1 cars, while the Chrome red, yellow, blue and green logo will appear on all four wheels, and Google will provide the team members with Android devices and Chrome to use throughout the season. The two F1 drivers, Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo, as well as the electric off-road racers Emma Gilmour and Tanner Foust, will all have Android and Chrome logos on their jerseys.
The McLaren MCL36 F1 car with the Android and Chrome logos will be on track at this weekend’s Grand Prix in Bahrain, while the #58 McLaren MX Extreme E electric motocross car with the new paintwork will be on display at the Island X-Prix in early May.
