In any given year, domestic violence affects as many as 10 million people in the United States.1 Of those, as many as 8 million are women who are employed.2 Domestic violence is a serious problem that often goes unreported. Victims are often too afraid to speak up, or they don't know how to get help. Employers have a responsibility to provide a safe workplace for all employees. This includes creating a policy addressing domestic violence and ensuring that employees know how to report any incidents.
