An x-ray examination creates two-dimensional images of the body’s internal organs or bones to help diagnose conditions or diseases. Overview x-ray images contain information about the bones, soft tissue and air (lungs/bowel gas). Preparing for an X-ray Please bring your referral (letter from your doctor) and your Medicare and/or Pension Health care card with you to your appointment.
