Four people from a dancing group were killed on Sunday when a red SUV crashed over them. This tragic incident occurred in the suburban Milwaukee town of Waukesha, Wisconsin during a Christmas parade. One person in the group was a volunteer, and the other three were members. The group was popularly known as the Milwaukee Dancing Grannies, and the press reported they were performing the show for the first time.

Tamara Durand, 52, was the first cheerleader and a hospice chaplain. She loved dancing and viewed the performance of the group just once as a rehearsal.

Although her husband, Dave Durand, was not present in the parade, she stated she was too excited to dance in the parade. He also stated she was too energetic to dance and was feeling very happy.

Tamara Durand was the mother of three children and also had a grandchild. She was a volunteer at hospices and hospitals. She wanted her daughter to successfully complete her nursing course and, hence, was babysitting her son. Her husband, Dave Durand, nicknamed her the “Energizer Bunny” because she was so energetic she was able to run swiftly every morning and also ate a lot of sweets.

The other dancers in the group who were killed were Virginia Sorenson, 79; Wihelm Hospel, 81; and laanna Owen, 71. According to the police, the following people were killed in the crash:

They stated that the group enjoyed entertaining crowds of people of all ages and that they performed energetically in shows. Whenever they performed, their hearts were filled with joy.

The group members posted on Facebook that the other members were recovering, although they were injured in the parade. One member who was hospitalised on Monday recovered on Monday and was also discharged from the hospital.

The members of the Milwaukee Dancing Grannies, who had been participating in several dances and marches for nearly 40 years, were tragically killed in the incident. These grannies wished their fans on Facebook more than an hour earlier. The crowd was eagerly waiting for the show.

According to the post, they also joyfully expressed “Waukesha” and “we all have arrived here,” and the crowd was eagerly awaiting the grannies to rock the parade.

The group Dancing Grannies was founded in 1984, and nearly 12 women joined the group. The women who joined the group were from 50 to 70 years old. This group was only meant for the grannies.

In the parade, even Jane Kulich, 52, was killed. The victim was an employee of Citizens Bank at a local branch. In the post, the group mentioned that an employee was joining the parade float. But the bank was not able to identify their employee.

They were all feeling devasted to know about this tragic incident and the victims who were killed by the SUV van.

Virginia Sorenson was a longtime choreographer for the group who had not been perusing her hobby for a year since she underwent surgery. The group stated that she unfortunately had to stop dancing forever. She was a grandmother who gave a lot of happiness to the crowd. Her 60-year-old husband told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that she was a lover of dancing.

She was also too energetic and was easily noticed when she even entered into a different room as she was so lively.

She was a dancer at every step of her life. Tamara was the youngest member of the Dancing Grannies group and loved dancing every now and then. The family experienced the first tragic incident ever.

On November 22, Monday night, the residents of Waukesha lit several candles to pay tribute to the victims of the tragedy.

The best grannies in the group were killed in the incident, and the crowd who were eager to watch the shows were finally devastated. But the driver of the SUV was not identified by the police.
