Whether you&#8217;re going on a short trip, like a vacation or business trip, or you&#8217;re planning to live abroad for a while, there are some simple ways to make your trip more enjoyable and educational. Where it&#8217;s more comfortable for you to travel than others, or maybe there are some experiences that make your heart beat faster but don&#8217;t necessarily get high marks from other people who&#8217;ve done them before (like skydiving).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whatever happens while on your trip may seem silly at first glance\u2014but if we look at our lives as a whole, these moments are likely just as important as any other part of them!<br>You can travel the world at ease by being adventurous and open to new experiences. Try new foods, activities and languages while you&#8217;re abroad! You might even want to try a new drink or two (wine anyone?).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Carry a portable charger<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Most of us are familiar with the basic concept of a portable charger. It&#8217;s something you can use to charge your phone or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wonderroadtravel.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mother daughter trips<\/a><\/strong> other devices when there&#8217;s no outlet nearby. But what if you&#8217;re traveling in an area where there are no outlets? Or maybe you&#8217;ve got an airbed with a built-in battery, but not enough juice to keep your electronics juiced up while sleeping at night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s where portable chargers come in handy\u2014they let us charge our devices on the go so that we don&#8217;t have to worry about running out of power mid-trip (or worse yet, forgetting it). They usually only cost around $15 USD* each!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eat what the locals eat<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Eat what the locals eat.<\/li><li>Don&#8217;t be afraid to try something new. If you don&#8217;t like it, don&#8217;t finish it! You&#8217;re traveling around the world; you&#8217;re not in America anymore (or are you?). If there&#8217;s an item on your plate that looks gross or just doesn&#8217;t taste good, move on without guilt and find something else to eat instead.<\/li><li>Ask for recommendations from friends who have been places before; they know what tastes good! Also, if someone offers street food as an option in their country of choice\u2014such as Mexico City&#8217;s tacos al pastor\u2014you&#8217;d be foolish not to at least give it a shot!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Go there with an open mind<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Traveling with an open mind is one of the best ways to experience new things.
