When you are a student, the world is wide and open to you and there are plenty of destinations that are worth visiting in the USA. Some of the cities are more of a lure for young people and they are more exciting places, bustling with life. However, there are also lots of charming, and quaint small towns that are also appealing to many, so when you are setting out on a road, try mapping out some of both kinds of destinations, to make the travel more diverse. Here are some of the top places for students to visit. 

New York

The Big Apple is surely the most attractive destination for students since it has plenty to offer in terms of entertainment and culture. The city life is hectic and there is always something to do or to see. You should start with the highlights of the city for instance Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge, and the Empire State Building. If you are into art, you ought to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art, since there are more than 2 million works of art. Those interested in urban architecture will appreciate Times Square and even though it is usually crowded, you are bound to enjoy the bustling place filled with neon lights.

Chicago

Another perfect place for a young person to unwind is Chicago. This city manages to combine the culture and excitement of a bustling cosmopolitan. There are lots of educational establishments. If you are looking for some sunshine and would like to unwind, you should head to Los Angeles. This city offers a contrasting type of entertainment, lots of fun-filled family activities, museums, shopping, and dining experiences. If you are under 21, a car rental is a great option to explore the city and see some of the attractions nearby. Most students arriving in Los Angeles tend to visit Hollywood first as it is a unique place in itself.  You can drive around the neighborhood and see celebrity houses.

Another unique place in Los Angeles is Santa Monica Pier, as it gives a unique laid-back vibe. You are bound to enjoy Ferris Wheel and if you feel like getting active you will surely enjoy a bike ride along the waterfront.

Washington DC

If you are more interested in history and would like to take in some monuments and learn about the historic events that have shaped the history of the country, then you are bound to get a rental car and drive around Washington DC. Of course, the first place that will surely draw your attention is the White House. Afterward, be sure to stop by the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, and National Air and Space Museum. This city has plenty to offer for those who like to stroll around cities to explore new places. 

Students would also enjoy visiting the Library of Congress. There are free tours that will let you explore the marvelous interiors and learn a bit about the history of the country and the place. The National Museum of Natural History is the other place that has a lot to offer in terms of culture and educational activities.

Boston

Boston and in particular the student town of Cambridge nearby is home to MIT and Harvard and thus is visited by millions of students every year and is definitely the place of interest for the young and restless.  After a tour around the universities, you should set out to Boston Common and Public Garden. The huge green area is one of the oldest parks in the country, plus it lets you combine active and cultural rest since it stands at the beginning of the Freedom Trail.
