Laka Triund Trek
Laka Triund Trek is a trekking and hiking experience in Ladakh, India. This place is located in the Leh district of Jammu & Kashmir. The best time to visit Laka Triund Trek is between April and May, as it offers pleasant weather throughout the year.
The route starts from Zanskar River, where you can board a jeep for about 3 hours drive to reach this place. On getting here you will find yourself surrounded by snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas which are all covered with green vegetation due to heavy snowfall during winters in these parts; hence it’s called “Green Valley”.
You can also see many other tribes who live here like Thiksey Yolmo (or simply called ‘Yolmo’), Pangi people, etc., who have been living there since ancient times but now they have been displaced due to their lack of resources like food, etc.
