LAND ROVER has confirmed that the new generation of the Range Rover Sport will be launched on May 10, ending the current nine-year cycle of the second-generation model, which will also be available as an all-electric model with unknown Harga Range Rover.
Following the launch of the new 5th generation Range Rover last year, the smaller but more popular Range Rover Sport will soon be launched in its third generation. The video shows a female driver preparing to take on the artificial waterfall in the new Rang Rover Sport. The media has released an exclusive teaser image that clearly reveals the new Range Rover Sport.
The Range Rover Sport has been selling at a 2 to 1 ratio compared to the Range Rover in the past, and it is expected that the new Range Rover will be styled in the same way as the new Range Rover, with spy photos circulating on the internet and this teaser image showing the Range Rover Sport with a slimmer upper grille and LED headlights than the Range Rover. The new Range Rover Sport’s upper grille and LED headlights are slimmer than those of the Range Rover, resembling the Velar, while its lower dam is more aggressive and angular than the Range Rover’s minimalist design.
The new Range Rover’s taillights are a real change from the previous model, integrated into a black panel that becomes opaque when the taillights are switched off. Although we can’t see it clearly in the Range Rover Sport spy photos, we can still see that the new Range Rover Sport has a similar functional configuration, despite the wrap-around design of its tail lights. The rectangular twin tailpipes are also a prominent feature, giving it a sportier look than the Range Rover.
The side sections have the same flat door handles as the Range Rover, as well as the air vents on the front fender. The wheelbase also looks similar to the old car, with a length of just under three metres. However, the front and rear overhangs are significantly shorter.
The interior changes are more comprehensive. Previous spy photos on the internet show a new look for the cabin and infotainment screen of the new Range Rover Sport. platform.
Jaguar Land Rover has confirmed that it will work with BMW on the next generation of electric drive systems. The electric version of the new generation Range Rove is scheduled to be launched in the UK in 2024, so it is expected that the Range Rover Sport should follow suit, using the same electric drive technology as the BMW i5 and i7 saloons. However, petrolheads can still expect LAND ROVER to continue to produce the Range Rover Sport SVR performance version, which is expected to be powered by the same twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 engine as the BMW X5 M Competition.
