New Cars | Wuling Global Silver Label First SUV Launched in Indonesia from Around 180,000 RMB

Recently, SAIC-GM-Wuling held a launch event in Jakarta, Indonesia to unveil the Wuling Global Silver Label for the first time overseas, as well as the Wuling Global Silver Label’s first overseas model, the Wuling Almaz RS. The Harga Wuling Almaz of this Wuling Almaz RS 7-seater version is from Rp 368,500,000, which is equivalent to about RMB 180,000. 180,000 RMB and is mainly sold for the Indonesian market. In the Chinese market, it was previously announced that Wuling will unveil its new Silver Label SUV at the Shanghai Motor Show in April, with no definite information on the vehicle yet.

According to officials, SAIC-GM-Wuling established a factory in Indonesia in August 2015 and launched its first Wuling red-label product, the Confero S, in 2017, followed by the Cortez CT, Formo and Almaz series since then.

The Wuling Almaz RS is named after Wuling, and the overall design of the car is similar to that of the Baojun 530 in the domestic market, with a front grille featuring the Wuling global silver logo and a front end in the same vein as the Wuling Capita.

On the side, the car is basically the same as the Baojun 530, with a two-tone body shape and a fitted roof rack. At the rear, the tail lights and lower surrounds have been tweaked to give the car a sportier feel.

Inside, the WULING Almaz RS follows the overall layout of the Baojun 530, with a large, vertically placed centre screen and a chrome-trimmed multifunction steering wheel. Wuling has introduced the WISE ecosystem for local car habits, which supports remote control of the vehicle via the mobile app, enabling voice control of windows, adjusting the temperature, turning on navigation, sending and receiving messages and activating in-car entertainment functions via the local language. The car is also equipped with the Advanced Assisted Driving System (ADAS), which enables a total of 12 intelligent driving assistance functions in four categories: intelligent cruise control, lane keeping, collision warning and intelligent lighting.

In terms of power, the car is also expected to continue the power configuration of the Baojun 530, offering a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 108 kilowatts, with a 6-speed manual transmission and a CVT continuously variable transmission.
