What is Splashwater Island?

Splashwater Island is the newest attraction in the park, and it will be opening for Memorial Day weekend. This new ride promises to offer something for everyone, with interactive elements that are geared towards children of all ages. There will be a gentle river for the youngest visitors, a splash pad for those who don’t want to get wet but still want to enjoy themselves, and a series of water cannons that can shoot you up into the air if you dare hop on board. On top of that, there will also be concessions available on site so you can stay cool while having your snacks or lunch.

What are the interactive elements?

Since the park is newly opened under the new management, there have been many upgrades and additions to both the physical and thematic aspects of the park. The newest addition, Splashwater Island, will have interactive elements for kids of all ages. In this play area, kids will be able to enjoy different water-based attractions that are designed for every age group. For example, there will be a splash pad full of water cannons and geysers for toddlers. For older children looking to get wet on a smaller scale, there will also be a kid-sized splash pool with slides and fountains.

Why was this attraction created?

Splashwater Island is a new attraction opening this summer. The park recently announced the construction of the first new ride in a decade, Splashwater Island, which will include interactive elements for kids of all ages. This new ride will be similar to Disney’s famous Splash Mountain, but with a more original theme. The ride is set to open on July 4th, so get ready for an unforgettable experience!
Splashdown Mountain was created because it’s been nearly 10 years since the last major attraction has been introduced to Adventureland Park. With children of all ages being targeted and interactive elements being introduced, we are sure that this will be one of the most memorable experiences you’ll have in your lifetime.

How long will it take to build?

Construction is expected to take six months, with the first phase opening in June 2018. As a result, the park will be closed to guests from December 2017 through April 2018. In order to make it up to guests who have already purchased tickets, the park is offering $25 off a ticket for any visit during that time. This new attraction should make for an exciting summer at Adventureland and provide a much-needed boost in revenue for this struggling business.

When will it open?

Splashwater Island is set to open Spring 2018 and will be the park’s first new attraction in ten years. This interactive water-based play area for children of all ages will feature three water slides, a splash pool with fountains, and a variety of other water features. The decision to add this new attraction was primarily based on research that indicated there was demand for an interactive destination that families could enjoy together.
Research showed us that families want an attraction where they can spend quality time with their kids, said Jeff Pohl, President and CEO of Adventureland. Splashwater Island is just what we needed.
