Off-White T-Shirt Selection Brands

Off-White T-Shirt Selection Brands

Today we are tackling a flagship item of any self-respecting dressing room: the off-white t-shirt. Whether immaculate, faded or even ecru, it is the classic that we will find in all possible styles. Tight / loose collar, adjusted or loose, thick or light and so on, there are a thousand and one possibilities. And for once, we’re going to stick to a real top 10 that will give you an eclectic view of the landscape. You will then have the heavy task of testing and seeing what best suits your style and tastes.

1 / Uniqlo U, The Perfectly Cut Tee

Frankly, if we try as much as possible to avoid advice that affects fast fashion, it is impossible for me not to mention Uniqlo U in a selection of the best off-white t-shirt.

Indeed, for 3 or 4 years now, they have gradually replaced all the tees in my closet.

They exist in white or in ecru, the collar is held, not used, the cut is straight and they size-up without any problem. And they last over time. I wash them every week and the ones from 3 years ago are still there. I only buy them for the comfort of not doing a machine every 3 days for 2 tees.

Can we talk about Fast Fashion in the case of this basic out of collection? I’ll let you decide.

NB: they are quite thick so if you don’t wear them a little size-up, past a certain temperature, they will be too hot in summer.

2 / Jungmaven Big Tee, The Hemp T-Shirt For Summer

So I say summer but these are all seasons t-shirts for the most part, hemp obliges. Jungmaven has made its mark on this niche by offering several cuts.

Regular or oversize, there’s something for everyone. I have a special affection for the big Tee, of course. Even the classic cuts, by taking a size above, will be pleasant to wear with a little volume.

A good idea for the summer season.

Available on the brand’s shop and at some retailers in Europe

3 / Warehouse & Co Lot 4601, The Old-Fashioned Tubular Tee

A tubular tee is made in one piece and therefore does not twist, and many also find it more comfortable to wear. Point of view that holds when you dress close to the body (personally it’s a detail that doesn’t matter to me).

Anyway, it is a guarantee of quality and know-how and this Warehouse lot 4601 has been cited several times by the community. In addition to being regularly highlighted by specialized shops of the genre.

You can also look into the secohan range in which the cotton has an aged effect.

These trees are cut short and boxy, and shrink a bit like all low tension woven cottons. So be careful when choosing the size. And maintenance of course.

Available at Clutch Café among others .

You can also see on the side of Velva Sheen or more confidant, the Japanese brand Whitesville and its pack of 2 at 85th.

4 / Noyoco, Le T-Shirt No Gender Bien Grande

I (re)discovered Noyoco during an invitation to the brand’s store. We will have the opportunity to talk about it again but I was pleasantly surprised by the cuts of the French brand. Their collection is mostly “ no gender ”.

And I was able to wear their off-white t-shirt, in size L, one size larger than mine, and really enjoyed it. The cut falls straight with amplitude, it’s really nice if you’re looking for this kind of cut that’s a bit Japanese in spirit.

Besides, I plan to get one soon, at 39€, it’s the right compromise between fast fashion and high-end brands.

5 / Good On, Le Tee Écru Pigment Dyed Made In Japan

You may have already seen the Good On 3/4 sleeve tees that I wore a few years ago, and one of them was in this particular ecru colour. This is the charm of the Japanese brand, whose pigment dyed dyes bring a color apart.

On the other hand, beware of the sizing, Good On is a Japanese brand so runs small and will not fit all body types.

The brand is distributed almost everywhere in France and Europe now.

6 / Japan Blue, A Very Heavy Raglan Sleeve T-Shirt

So we stay in Japan with a tee with raglan sleeves and a generous weight (16.5oz) that throws quite a bit. It’s not the t-shirt you’ll wear in the height of summer, however, it’s the type of piece that’s nice in spring.

And then, it fills all the technical and aesthetic boxes of styles with heritage influences.

If you have the budget for this kind of piece, you have the right client to accompany your military pants or your raw jeans!

7 / Wool & Prince, Merino Wool And All-Season Tees

If you want to test merino wool for a t-shirt, Wool & Price is a solution. Composed of 3/4 merino, the rest nylon, this brand is positioned as an expert in the genre. The cut is rather classic, even adjusted so will not suit all styles.

And depending on your budget, you can watch Outlier or Béni .

8 / Asket, The Basic Tee At A Contained Price

If you’re looking for a classic off-white t-shirt with no frills, you can check out Asket . In addition, and this is not negligible, you have the choice between 3 lengths. It is an option that can accommodate the smallest and largest jigs.

Less expensive and in the eco-responsible genre, we can also take a look at Loom if we want a simple tee.

9 / Mpfen Standard Tee, Le T-Shirt Oversize Blanc

I could have mentioned Coltesse, Outland, Studio Nicholson, but a choice had to be made. We don’t talk enough about the Mpfen brand, so it was an opportunity to highlight it with its “standard tee” model .

Who only has the name since with a very ample body and drooping shoulders, we are of course on an oversized cut t-shirt. For lovers of volumes, this is a brand to watch.

And not just for off-white t-shirt.

10 / Hanes And Proclub, The “Basic” American Tees

Although different, I put them in the same category since I see them as the t-shirt equivalent of the dad shoe. It’s the classic American-style tee as we’ve seen for decades in series and films across the Atlantic (among others). Hanes is harder to find than Proclub, which has been seen quite a bit on Instagram lately.

It’s a good basic tee if you want a regular fit without breaking the bank (it can be found at a few euros by looking on eBay and other wholesale sites).

But There Are So Many White Tees Missing

I committed to making a tight top 10, so I stuck to it. Still, it’s frustrating, the community has shared loads of brands going there from his white tee.

Indeed, tell yourself that there is a lack of big players like Merz, Colorful Standard, COS, Anatomica and many others whose references, tests and opinions you can find here.

Now you just have to test and make your choice.

Yes, the hardest part begins!
