Suzuki’s new Swift will be delayed until March 2023 due to a shortage of chips for the car

The Swift has always been highly visible in the market as the main focus of Suzuki’s official sales. The new Swift will not be officially launched until March 2023, which is undoubtedly a major shortcoming for the brand and its fans. ……

The new Suzuki 2023 models was originally scheduled to appear in the second half of 2022, but due to the impact of the new pneumonia epidemic, the overall development process has been delayed due to a shortage of chips and components for the subsequent cars, so the official launch date may be delayed until March 2023.

From the information available so far, the new 5th generation Swift will be updated in terms of interior and exterior features, while maintaining the established HEARTECT chassis configuration. This should also be incorporated into the revised model.

In Taiwan, the current fourth-generation Swift is a minor facelift due for introduction in December 2020, with a dual Swift and Swift Sport configuration and the introduction of a new light fuel-electric powertrain. Although there is still no official decision on the introduction of the new Swift to Taiwan, what is confirmed is that in 2022, Suzuki Taiwan will make the new generation SX4, which was unveiled earlier, the main focus.
