Barcelona’s Early stages
The original FC Barcelona jersey, released in 1899, is straightforward, with stripes and a standard collar. The sleeves and main body have four broad, alternating blue and claret stripes. Carles Comamala, a great goal scorer, is one of the early candidates to succeed Barcelona founder Gamper when he retires. In the 1920s, Barcelona adds a tie closure to the neck of the jersey, which was worn by players such as Ramon Torralba Larraz, a 14-season great.
