If one of your buying considerations is storage space, you’ll probably be most interested in the Style 110TSI which has 445 liters of space with the rear seats raised and 1,290 with the rear seats folded down.

Meanwhile, the R 140TSI series has a capacity of 392 liters with the second row in place and 1,237 liters when the seats are folded.

Both benefit from the space-saving spare wheel that is hidden under the trunk floor.

These numbers mean that both classes have more rear space than the Mazda CX-30 (317L), and Hyundai Kona (375L), or if your budget is a bit higher, it’s less than a quarter. bit of cargo space compared to something like the BMW X2 2023(470L).

At this level, you get Comfort sport front seats decorated with micro-wool cushions.

There are no touch buttons on the leather-wrapped steering wheel, which I really love given the traditional buttons available to control the display and media of your 8-inch Digital Cockpit.

You get touch-sensitive buttons that help give the cabin a premium feel and understand their application for dual-zone climate control. Instead of turning the dials for temperature and fan speed, you slide your finger along the temperature and fan controls.

As always with Volkswagen, there’s plenty of storage space around the cabin with generous door sills and a mid-sized center console. Customers will either love or hate the glossy dark gray plastic dashboard and door panels, but the inclusion of soft-touch materials around this once again adds to the premium feel.

Charging and connecting devices via 2 USB-C ports at the front while rear passengers also benefit from 2 USB-C ports and air-conditioning vents.

The back is 2 USB-C charging points and fairly spacious space. Definitely enough for the growing family.

2023 VW T-Roc R-Line

The steering wheel that I liked in the Style is replaced by a steering wheel with touch controls. I’m not the biggest fan of them, though I’m sure I could learn to like them if I used them for a long time.

The sport seats are fitted and upholstered in R-Line fabric, they benefit from a little extra reinforcement to keep you in place.

The digital pilot display has also been upgraded, with a new 10.25-inch display and software in the form of Digital Cockpit Pro, among other things giving you even more configuration possibilities.

The wireless charging bay below and the satellite navigation on the infotainment screen further enhance the technology and ease of use of the 2023 VW T-Roc R-Line. Those gray coatings are replaced with black, lifting the interior up a bit, despite what many say about the glossy black accents around the cabin.

Volkswagen T-Roc – at a glance

Now standard on all 2022 T-Roc models, digital cockpit technology and displays along with Volkswagen IQ. Drive, Volkswagen’s safety suite, makes the T-Roc even safer. for everyone on the road.

Prices start at $37,250 before on-road charging for the T-Roc Style 110TSI, while the new R-Line variant (formerly Sport) starts at $45,350 before on-road charging.

Unfortunately, due to the current turmoil in the world with chip shortages, it should be noted that MY23-branded vehicles will not have Side Assist, Rear Traffic Assist and Security System. proactive person.

Reflecting that, Volkswagen dropped $650 on the MY23 trim ($36,600) and $550 on the MY23 R ($44,700) line.

I was surprised to learn that the upcoming T-Roc is Volkswagen’s second-best performing SUV in Australia. Surprised, since it’s a car I don’t see much on the road.

But it’s obviously very popular and this updated Volkswagen T-Roc is an important vehicle for the German brand.

Volkswagen has improved the styling of the T-Roc, increased the number of safety technologies fitted as standard, refreshed the interior and enhanced its advantage in the technology department.

Why?

It drives a bit more comfortably for an SUV, and in everyday situations, you don’t really lack power. If you’re looking for something sportier, you’d better wait and see what else Volkswagen has in store for Australian SUV consumers in the near future.

You can opt for it with the $2,000 Sounds and Vision package, which adds a premium Beats sound system, a professional digital cockpit, satellite navigation, and wireless charging.

If you prefer leather seats, you can add a leather package for $3,450.

All this for $2,550 less than the R series. How is that a Money Finder hack?

As for omitting the MY23 model, unfortunately, most brands today are facing the prospect of rising prices and having to give up some technology due to a lack of chips.
