Brickell explains that apps and online options are the best ways to keep track of your savings.

To find deals to save money, earn cash back, and earn rewards while you’re at the grocery store and gas station, he recommends the following apps:

  • Ibotta – Earn cash back on everyday purchases from over 2,000 retailers. Choose from thousands of your favorite retailers and add deals to your list. Shop the deals you added in store or online. If you’re looking for other options to save money, the savings and coupons expert recommends preparing meals and taking a list to the grocery store; this will limit the purchase of unnecessary items.
