Smart card recharge tips- The Indian Railway has enabled the UTSonmobile online site to help with digitization. Passengers who purchase unreserved tickets with Smart cards, including platform tickets, can now recharge their cards online by registering on this portal. Smart Card holders previously had to reload their cards at railway reservation desks.
Here Are the Steps to Online Recharge Your Smart Card:
Passengers must first register at utsonmobile.indianrail.gov.in. To use the Smart Card Recharge Option, go to menu 4.
Passengers can recharge their Smart Cards with credit cards, debit cards, internet banking, UPI, and other digital means.
Passengers will be directed to the nearest Automatic Ticket Vending Machine (ATVM) once their payment has been processed successfully.
Ensure that you visit the ATVM within 15 days of the recharge date or before the card expires.
Select the Recharge Smart Card option after placing your Smart Card on the ATVM’s reader. The ATVM will get the data of your internet recharge and add the amount to your Smart Card.
After that, you can use your Smart Card to buy unreserved tickets using it.
A Smart Card can be purchased at suburban station booking offices. The Smart Card costs Rs 70, with a refundable deposit of Rs 50 and a recharge value of Rs 20.
